The story, mission and people behind Enviro Health Care Africa
Background
Enviro Health Care Africa (EHCA) was founded in 2024 as a non-governmental organization committed to addressing critical issues related to the environment, climate change and public health in Tanzania. Headquartered at Aroma House on Segerea Road, Tabata, Dar es Salaam, we focus on implementing sustainable and environmentally friendly projects that mitigate the adverse effects of climate change and improve the overall well-being of communities.
We believe environmental problems are health problems. When forests disappear, when waste is unmanaged, when water is unsafe and when the climate becomes unpredictable, it is people, especially in vulnerable communities, who pay the price. EHCA exists to break that cycle through practical projects, strong partnerships and education that empowers communities to protect their own environment.
EHCA is governed by a Board of Directors that provides strategic direction and oversight. Our Executive Director leads day-to-day operations, supported by Program Managers who oversee specific projects in environmental conservation, climate change and public health, along with Project Coordinators, community Educators and Administrative Staff.

To promote environmental sustainability, address climate change impacts, enhance human health and well-being, and educate communities on sustainable practices.
To create a healthy environment for a better life.
